How do I order
my free credit report?

You can order your free annual credit report online
at annualcreditreport.com, by calling 877-322-8228, or by completing the Annual Credit Report Request Form and mailing it to: Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 105281, Atlanta, GA 30348-5281.

When you order, you need to provide your name, address, Social Security number, and date of birth. To verify your identity, you may need to provide some information that only you would know, like the amount of your monthly mortgage payment.

The three big credit bureaus, which sponsor the site known as annualcreditreport.com allow consumers one free report a year at no cost. Once you log on, you can choose from which of the three bureaus you wish to view your report. I have used Equifax and had a good experience with their site. After viewing your report, you have the ability to make online disputes on your accounts which have incorrect, misleading or false information to improve your score.

Although all consumers are allowed by law one credit report per year through annualcredit report.com; the same is not true for your credit score. You still have to pay either one of the three credit bureaus to obtain your credit score, or pay myfico.com for your score.

Also, something to consider should you choose to access the www.annualcreditreport.com site away from this webpage. Apparently, some fake web pages have been created by scam artists to resemble that page and to capture your vital personal information. Always be sure you type in the proper URL of the site or access safely from this page.

People can be reeled into imposter sites by either typing the wrong domain name of the site they mean to visit or by using a search engine to find the site and clicking on the wrong search result.

Is your card working hard for you?.. Get one that does.

If you learn one thing from our site, let it be this. This is the one place where you can see your credit report instaneously, FREE.

Three credit bureaus = three credit reports within a 12 month period.

Remember, you are entitled to receive one free credit report through the annualcreditreport.com every 12 months from each of the nationwide consumer credit reporting companies – Equifax, Experian and TransUnion – so if you order from only one company today you can still order from the other two companies at a later date.
You are entitled to receive one free credit file report every 12 months from each of the nationwide consumer credit reporting companies through the annualcreditreport.com. It is entirely your choice whether you order all three credit reports at the same time or order one now and others later. One advantage of ordering all three at the same time is that you can compare them. (However, you will not be eligible for another free credit report from the annualcreditreport.com for 12 months.) On the other hand, the advantage of ordering one now and others later (for example, one credit report disclosure every four months) is that you can keep track of any changes or new information that may appear on your credit report.
